Passion to Vocation

Shirish Burde discovered painting as a retirement pastime and ended up finding a lifelong companion in colour and line. His journey began with the simplicity of Warli art and soon grew into a rich practice spanning Mandala geometry, Madhubani detail, Gond rhythm, Pattachitra narrative, and Pichwai devotion. His works have crossed borders through national and international exhibitions, earning recognition and multiple awards along the way. Each piece in Wama Arts reflects his evolving craft and his steady belief that art should feel both rooted and alive.

About the Studio

Wama Arts brings traditional Indian artforms into everyday life through original, hand-painted creations. Instead of mass-produced decor, the store offers pieces shaped by careful brushwork, cultural memory, and the personality of a single artist. Every product—whether meant for walls, tables, or personal spaces—carries a little story from India’s folk and tribal heritage.

Artist Message

Every artwork is a step in conversation—between tradition and reinvention, patience and curiosity. I hope these pieces bring the same sense of calm focus to your spaces that painting brings to my days.
